We are committed to handling personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and equivalent provincial privacy laws.

Information from third parties
- Sign-in providers (e.g. Google) if you use them to create or log in to your account.
- Service providers such as our payment processor, mapping/geocoding providers, and analytics tools.
2. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- create and manage your account;
- match Clients with Pros and operate the marketplace, jobs, marketplace listings, and Sub It Out features;
- process subscription payments and apply membership benefits, quotas, and counters;
- send transactional notifications (welcome messages, receipts, plan changes, security alerts);
- provide customer support;
- prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms;
- analyze usage and improve the Services;
- send marketing emails where you have opted in — you can unsubscribe at any time.
3. How we share information
We share personal information only as needed and only with:
- Other users, as required for the marketplace to work (for example, your public Pro profile is visible to Clients, and your job details are shared with Pros you contact).
- Service providers acting on our behalf — including Stripe for payments, Lovable Cloud for hosting and database, and email/SMS providers — under contractual confidentiality and security obligations.
- Legal and safety reasons: when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Tradezlist, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to the protections in this Policy.
We do not sell personal information.
4. International transfers
Some of our service providers may process personal information outside of Canada (including in the United States). When that happens, the information is subject to the laws of those jurisdictions, and we use contractual safeguards to require comparable protections.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, secure the Services, and understand how the Services are used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may make parts of the Services not work properly.
6. Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes set out in this Policy and to meet legal, accounting, and dispute-resolution requirements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.
7. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against loss, theft, and unauthorized access, disclosure, or modification — including encryption in transit, access controls, and row-level security on our database. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- withdraw consent or ask us to delete your account and associated personal information;
- opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in any marketing message;
- complain to a privacy regulator, including the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@tradezlist.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
9. Children
The Services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make a material change, we will post the updated Policy and update the "Effective" date above. If the change is significant, we will provide additional notice (such as an in-app message or email).
