Tradezlist Terms of Use
Effective June 22, 2026
These Terms of Use (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the Tradezlist website at tradezlist.com, our mobile applications, and any related services (collectively, the "Services") operated by Tradezlist Inc. ("Tradezlist", "we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account, posting a job, browsing listings, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Who we are and who can use the Services
Tradezlist is an online marketplace that connects homeowners and businesses ("Clients") with skilled trades professionals and contractors ("Pros"). We provide the platform — we do not perform, supervise, employ, or guarantee any work that Pros agree to do for Clients.
You may use the Services only if you are at least 18 years old, can form a binding contract with Tradezlist, and are not prohibited from using the Services under applicable law.
2. Accounts
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide when registering, for keeping your password confidential, and for all activity on your account. Notify us immediately at hello@tradezlist.com if you suspect unauthorized access. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms.
3. Memberships and paid plans
Tradezlist offers paid membership tiers (currently Journeyman, Foreman, and Master) billed in Canadian dollars (CAD) on a recurring basis. By starting a paid membership you authorize us, through our payment processor (Stripe), to charge your payment method on the cadence shown at checkout until you cancel.
- Upgrades and downgrades are prorated immediately.
- Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep paid features until then.
- Failed payments will be retried automatically; access is maintained during the retry window.
- Except where required by law, membership fees are non-refundable.
4. Marketplace listings, jobs, and "Sub It Out"
Clients may post jobs, Pros may post listings or respond to jobs, and either side may use Sub It Out to delegate work. You are solely responsible for the content you post, the accuracy of pricing and scope, and the legality of the work you offer or perform. Tradezlist does not verify every listing or Pro and is not a party to any agreement between Clients and Pros.
You must not post content that is false, misleading, infringing, harassing, discriminatory, unlawful, or that violates anyone's privacy or intellectual property rights. We may remove content or restrict accounts at our discretion.
5. Payments between Clients and Pros
Unless we explicitly offer in-platform payments for a transaction, payments between Clients and Pros happen directly between those parties. Tradezlist is not responsible for collecting, holding, or disbursing those funds, and is not responsible for invoicing, taxes, or disputes between you and the other party.
6. Reviews and ratings
Reviews must be based on your own genuine experience. Do not post reviews you were paid to write, reviews about competitors you have not actually used, or reviews that contain personal attacks, threats, or private information. We may remove reviews that violate these rules.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Services for any unlawful purpose;
- scrape, copy, or republish substantial portions of the Services;
- attempt to break, probe, or interfere with the security or operation of the Services;
- impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone;
- upload viruses, malware, or other harmful code;
- use the Services to send spam or unsolicited commercial messages.
8. Content licence
You retain ownership of the content you post. By posting content to the Services you grant Tradezlist a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, reproduce, adapt, and distribute that content for the purpose of operating, promoting, and improving the Services.
9. Disclaimers
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tradezlist disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that any Pro is qualified, licensed, insured, available, or safe, or that any Client will pay, perform, or behave appropriately. You use the Services and engage with other users at your own risk.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tradezlist and its directors, officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Services. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid Tradezlist in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) CAD $100.
11. Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Tradezlist from any claim, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Services, your content, your dealings with other users, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Services. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including payment obligations, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, and dispute resolution) will survive.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we will post the updated Terms and update the "Effective" date above. Continued use of the Services after the change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Subject to applicable consumer protection laws, you and Tradezlist agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Ontario for any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Services.
